What Veux Beauty Offers Brides in Washington, DC
Veux Beauty offers bridal hair and makeup in Washington, DC for the bride, bridal party, and immediate family on the wedding day. Services are on-location, which means we come to your getting-ready suite, hotel, or home anywhere in DC, Maryland, or Northern Virginia. Every booking includes a trial appointment, day-of styling, and touch-up coverage built into the timeline.
Most brides book a full package: one trial before the wedding, hair and makeup for the bride on the wedding day, and services for bridesmaids, mothers, and grandmothers as needed. We bring our own kit, lighting, chairs, and steamers. You bring yourself and the people you love.
We work the way a celebrity glam team works. That means we talk to your photographer before the day so we know when first looks are scheduled. We talk to your planner so we know when the limo arrives. We talk to you about your dress fitting so we know how the neckline changes the makeup. This is the difference between a beauty vendor and a personal glam team.

The Bridal Trial Process at Veux Beauty
Veux Beauty recommends booking your bridal trial 6 to 10 weeks before the wedding. The trial is a working appointment where your artist tests the full look against your skin, your hair texture, and reference photos you share in advance. You leave with notes, photos, and a confirmed plan for the wedding day. Most brides book the trial on a day they have other plans, like an engagement shoot or a dress fitting, so they can wear the look in the world before committing.
Step 1: Share Your Inspiration
Before the trial, you send mood board images, photos from your dress fitting, accessory plans, and any details on the wedding day lighting. Your artist reviews everything and comes to the trial with a plan, not a blank slate.
Step 2: The Trial Appointment
Trials run 2 to 3 hours and happen at our space or at a location that works for you. We test both the hair and the makeup, photograph the result in different light, and adjust until it's right. You'll see the look from every angle a photographer will shoot.
Step 3: Wedding Day Notes
After the trial, your artist writes detailed notes: products used, shade matches, hair sections and pin placement, anything we adjusted. These notes travel to the wedding day so the look you signed off on is the look that gets recreated, even if a different team member assists.
Step 4: Final Check-In
Two weeks before the wedding we confirm timeline, party count, and any last changes. If your dress fitting revealed something new, like a different lipstick that reads better with the gown, we update the plan.

“YOU TRULY GET THE VALUE YOU INVEST IN.”
“The Veux team is so amazing at what they do! Even on the wedding day when my hair didn't cooperate, the stylists were patient, persistent, and made adjustments until it was perfect. They were so compassionate and committed to my vision. My makeup was also absolutely flawless which allowed me to feel super confident and beautiful in every photo from every angle. They are the best!”

Bridal Party, Mothers, and Family Services
Veux Beauty handles the full wedding party, not just the bride. Bridesmaid hair and makeup, mother of the bride and mother of the groom services, flower girl light styling, and family members joining the morning are all available as add-ons to your bridal package. Each person in the party can choose hair only, makeup only, or both. We bring enough team members to keep the morning relaxed instead of rushed.
Bridesmaids typically choose between a soft glam makeup and a polished hair look that ties into the bride's style without copying it. Mothers usually want makeup that photographs strong but feels like themselves on a regular day. We meet every person where they are. Nobody is pushed into a look they don't want.

Frequently Asked Questions
How far in advance should I book bridal hair and makeup in Washington, DC?
Most Veux Beauty brides book 8 to 12 months before the wedding, especially for spring and fall dates. Saturdays in May, June, September, and October fill first. If your date is less than 6 months away, we can still check availability, but options shrink as the calendar fills. Reach out as soon as you have a date and venue confirmed, even if other details are still in motion. We hold dates with a signed agreement and a deposit, and we won't take a second booking on a date you've reserved.
Do I need a bridal trial before the wedding?
Yes. Veux Beauty includes one trial in every bridal package, and we recommend it 6 to 10 weeks before the wedding. The trial is where your artist tests the full look against your hair, skin, and reference photos. You leave the trial knowing exactly what your wedding day look will be, with photos and detailed notes that travel to the wedding day. Skipping the trial means seeing your wedding look for the first time on the morning of your wedding, which is not a risk most brides want to take.
Does Veux Beauty work with all hair types and skin tones?
Yes. Every artist on the Veux Beauty team is trained to work with the full range of hair textures and skin tones, including coily and tightly curled hair, relaxed hair, fine and thick hair, and every undertone. We carry a foundation range that matches deep, medium, and light skin without mixing on the spot. If your hair type requires specialized prep or product, share that during the inquiry so we assign the right artist to your booking.
How long does bridal hair and makeup last on the wedding day?
A Veux Beauty bridal look is built to last from the morning through the reception, typically 10 to 14 hours, with one mid-day touch-up by the bride using the take-home kit. We use long-wear foundation, setting spray with extended hold, lip products that survive eating and drinking, and hair products selected for your texture and the day's humidity. For brides who want an artist on-site for evening touch-ups, that's available as an add-on so the bride doesn't have to refresh her own look between ceremony and reception.
What happens if my dress fitting changes the look I want?
Tell us as soon as you notice the change. Dress fittings often reveal something the trial didn't account for, like a different neckline reading or a new accessory shifting the color balance. Veux Beauty does a final check-in two weeks before the wedding specifically to catch this. If the change is significant, we can sometimes schedule a quick second look before the wedding day. Smaller adjustments, like changing the lipstick shade or adjusting the hair to suit a different veil placement, are handled the morning of without a second appointment.
